ice experiment

today, i did a freezing experiment where i got the vacuum molded plastic packaging of a webcam, filled it with water, and then put it in the freezer so i would have an ice block shaped like a webcam. it turned out great, in fact it was kind of hilarious having a freezing cold, paper white webcam sitting in a bowl twenty minutes later after freezer entrance. i decided to do more ice/freezer experiments, like a strawberry in a cup of water and thaen into the freezer, or a big acorn and small acorn next to each other in a cup of water and that into the freezer. well, that's pretty much all for today.

friend over

today, my friend came over today and we have this crazy idea to hunt birds and squirrels with rocks. sounds like something a hobo would do to get food. anyway, when we got there, there weren't that many birds or squirrels around so we did target practice with these tires, and you would throw the rock and try to get it into the tire you were going for. other than that, it was just a day. my friend has some allergies that when he breathes through his nose, well, you know what i'm saying. its so loud that when i went to metallica, i could STILL hear him over the music that would've made me DEAF if i didn't have ear protection. it bothers me like shit. that's why i sometimes have angry outbursts because of this, and i have not explained this to him yet. well i probably don't need to because he's right behind me and silent, so i better be gone now or it may get ugly.

My usual day

nothing much happened today, and i could hear acl from my house because I live near zilker park, where acl (austin city limits music festival) is held. I didn't go to acl because the weather was bad and the bands weren't all that good, plus I went to an awesome concert performed by metallica a couple days earlier. Metallica had all sorts of weird crap ranging from a colorful languaged opening band, laser light shows that i haven't seen for a whole long time, and fire occasionally shooting up in orange and blue colors. I forget to tell you they were as loud as hell? I probably did. Anyway, since i didn't have a whole lot to do, I've spent a decent portion of my time on the computer looking up aviation plush toys and stuff like that. You might think that's a little weird, but I like to call myself an aviation enthusiast because I know a lot about aviation (or airplanes and pilots) and I also like it. I found a really decent united airlines push toy, and i thought about buying it but I saw the price and said forget it. I have a mac, so I used a fun architecture application where you make 3D models of buildings. well, that was my day and it wasn't thrilling, and actually kind of boring. that's it.
